Hanabi Japanese Cuisine: Authentic Flavors of Japan in Duluth, MN

I went to Hanabi with a friend and we both LOVED it. The atmosphere is nice and the servers are attentive. The quality of their fish is by far the best in Duluth, it even tops some of the sushi I’ve had on the west coast! I will definitely be coming back and recommending Hanabi to all of my friends!

Food is 10/10! Played great music, quick service, and delicious food. We had the shrimp tempura, rock shrimp tempura, sweet potato roll, chicken and steak hibachi. The fried rice is so so good! The best I’ve had in a long time. Awesome drink selections including mocktails and THC. The only thing we did not enjoy so much was the ginger dressing on the salad. Otherwise everything was a notch above the competition.

Bountiful plates of food. More edamame than we could handle. Lovely presentation of omakase (white tail, tuna, salmon) and unagi sushi. Offer tasting flights of select sake brands. Fun NA drink options as well.

An outstanding venue here in the great north shores. I was caught, immediately, by the warm and modern decor. With an open concept, lounge style, dining room. Local art hanging on the walls, beckoning your gaze. The food is outstanding. I've not had sushi this delicious since I was last in Osaka. A High recommendation. Please take the trip down here. I suggest stopping by during less regular hours (weekdays, early afternoons) for a more private dining experience. The happy hour specials will make the trip worth it. Bring a friend!

On your way through Duluth, swing by Hanabi for a sushi experience that’ll make your taste buds dance! Their happy hour runs daily from 2 to 4 PM (except Sundays), and let me tell you, the selection is fantastic! The fish is super fresh, and the prices won’t make your wallet cry. It’s the perfect way to refuel after your wild escapades—happy sushi feasting!

Don’t go by the looks of it from the outside. It’s really nice from the inside and really provides a great dining experience starting from the service to the food, ambiance and music. We enjoyed it all.

Expresso martini 10/10 Veggie fried rice was amazing!! Outstanding YumYum sauce. Hawaii roll is my favorite roll to split with my friend! Her and I shared the pork gyoza and edamame as well. We loved it!
